Outstanding Year for Bronco Rifle Team

The ZHS Bronco JROTC Rifle Team had a very successful year in competition.  They each fire in three different positions and each fires either 10 or 20 shots from each of the 3 positions: prone, standing and kneeling.  They dominated the 10 Army JROTC teams within the Baton Rouge and qualified to compete at the national level as well.  The team placed 1st in every category of Rifle Team and individual competition against BR area teams and placed 2nd or 3rd as well in most categories.

The team qualified to compete in the U.S. Army JROTC National Rifle Team Championship held in Anniston, AL on February 18-20, 2016, was the top team from Louisiana and placed 15th among the 1,745 Army JROTC Programs in our nation.  Top performers for the Bronco Rifle Team were Orrin Bordelon and Connor Maloy.
