The ZHS Mock Trial team finished as the state runner-up in the 2014 LSBA Richard Ware Memorial High School Mock Trial Competition. ZHS lost in the state finals to a team from Jesuit High School after defeating two teams from Northside High School in the preliminary rounds. ZHS earned the right to compete in its second straight state tournament by winning the Region 3 Championship earlier in March.
